Locally owned, Austin operated
Duke's Junk Recycling is not a franchise. It is a Central Texas company with two yards, a small crew, and a phone that an actual person answers. When you call (512) 520-7495, you are talking to someone who knows what is in the trailer today and what a load like yours should cost.
That structure is why our pricing stays honest. There is no national call center taking a cut, no per-lead fee baked into your quote, and no incentive to upsell you into a bigger truck than the job needs.
Why we say recycling instead of hauling
Most junk removal companies drive straight to the landfill. We built the business around the opposite habit. Loads get sorted at the yard: furniture in resale condition goes toward donation, appliances and scrap metal go to a metals recycler, mattresses are broken down for steel and fiber, cardboard is baled, and electronics move to certified e-waste processors.
Landfill diversion is good for Central Texas and good for the customer. The less material we pay to bury, the less we have to charge — which is the entire economic reason Duke's works as an Austin landfill alternative rather than just another hauler.
Two yards, one standard
Our Austin yard at 6546 Burnet Road, Austin, TX 78757 serves north and central Austin. Our Manor yard at 20301 Hog Eye Rd, Manor, TX 78653 covers east Austin, Manor, Elgin, Del Valle, and the SH-130 corridor. Both are clean, gravel-graded, marked, and staffed during business hours.
Neither yard requires a commercial account, a membership, or a minimum tonnage. Drive in, get directed to a spot, unload, pay by the load, and leave. That is the whole process.
The work we do most
Furniture removal and mattress disposal make up a large share of residential calls. Garage cleanouts, estate cleanouts, and rental turnovers follow. On the commercial side, construction debris removal, office cleanouts, and property-management turnovers are steady year-round.
Seasonally, spring brings yard waste, brush, and fence sections. Summer brings moves and apartment turnovers. Fall and winter bring remodels, downsizing, and estate work. We staff and stage trailers around those patterns so same-day service stays achievable.
How we treat a property
Crews arrive in marked trucks, use floor protection where it matters, carry items rather than dragging them, and sweep the area before leaving. On estate and probate jobs we go slower and check before disposing of anything that looks personal or valuable.
If a photo confirmation is useful — for a realtor, a landlord, or an out-of-state family member — just ask and we will send pictures of the cleared space when we finish.
What customers tell us
The feedback that repeats most: fast response, honest quotes, no surprise fees, and crews that actually clean up. Those are unglamorous things, but they are the difference between a junk removal company you call once and one you keep in your contacts.
We would rather earn the second call than win the first one with a lowball number that changes in the driveway.
Community and coverage
We work throughout Austin, Manor, Pflugerville, Round Rock, Cedar Park, Leander, Hutto, Elgin, Del Valle, Buda, Kyle, Bee Cave, Lakeway, West Lake Hills, Rollingwood, Sunset Valley, Wells Branch, and Jollyville.
Storm cleanup, neighborhood cleanup days, downsizing help for older residents, and nonprofit relocations are the kinds of jobs we make room for whenever the schedule allows.
Work with us
Whether you need a single couch gone, a garage emptied, a remodel cleared, or a place to drop a loaded trailer on a Saturday morning, Duke's is built for it. Call or text (512) 520-7495, or send the quote form and we will get right back to you.
Safety, insurance, and doing it right
Crews are trained on safe lifting, load securement, and disposal rules for refrigerant-bearing appliances and electronics. Certificates of insurance are available for commercial clients, property managers, and job sites that require them before work begins.
We would rather turn down a load we are not permitted to handle than take it and cut a corner at the yard. That is a big part of why the two yards stay clean and stay open.
Our name, our promise
"A clean, safe, convenient alternative to the Austin dump" is not a tagline we picked from a list. It describes exactly what the business does: shorter drive, honest price, no scale line, and material that gets sorted instead of buried by default.
If any part of that ever falls short on your job, call (512) 520-7495 and tell us. We are small enough that the person who answers can actually fix it.
